Adding and Editing Images

Adding an image to a pre-existing gallery

  • On edit page, click on “Pages” on left hand menu, scroll down to “not linked” section and select the gallery/portfolio you want to add to

  • Click the plus sign in the upper right corner above the preview of images

  • Drag and drop photos from iPhoto over the big gray square the says “image” with the arrow next to it

  • Add title/dimensions in the “title” box below

  • Click save in the upper left of the window

  • Drag and drop the image into the order you would like it to appear in the portfolio in the preview of images

  • You are done! To go back to main edit menu, click “pages” in upper left corner

  • Reminder: gallery page under “not linked” is the behind-the-scenes of the public portfolio page. Edit the layout of the gallery in the published portfolio page

Adding a new portfolio

STEP ONE:

  • Click on pages from the main menu on the left

  • Scroll down to “not linked” and press the plus sign on the right at the top

  • Scroll to “collections” section and select “gallery”

  • You will see the "“New Gallery” page show up on the left hard menu under “not linked”. The text box will be highlighted. You can type in the name of gallery and then click outside of the text box to save it.

  • Click on the gear icon to the left of the gallery name, make sure that the page title and navigation title are the same, click close in upper left to save

  • Click on gallery title and begin uploading images by clicking on the plus symbol in the upper right

  • Drag and drop image file from iPhoto over grey box that says image on it

  • Once image is uploaded, you may title it in the text box below the image

  • Below, make sure status is “published”, then click save in upper left

  • Once images are uploaded, you can drag and drop them into the order you like.

  • To make changes to image info: hover over image and click the gear icon in the litter gray menu bar

  • To edit image appearance: hover over image and click the pencil icon in the litter gray menu bar

STEP TWO:

  • Now it’s time to make the public portfolio page where your images will show up on your site!

  • In the pages menu, look under the “portfolio” folder and click “add page”, select the “blank” layout

  • You will see the "“New page” show up under the folder on the left. The text box will be highlighted. You can type in the name of portfolio and then click outside of the text box to save it.

  • Click on the gear icon to the left of the gallery name, make sure that the page title and navigation title are the same, click close in upper left to save

  • On the right, hover over the preview of the page. You will see a gray menu bar appear with the name of your portfolio, click “edit”

  • Hover over the page until you see the purple plus sign with the lines through it. Click the plus sign.

  • Select “gallery” in the menu

  • Select “use existing gallery” and choose the gallery you would like to have displayed on the page

  • Click “design” in the upper right to change layout.

  • Make sure “Crop images” in unchecked

  • Make sure “show title” and “lightbox” are checked

  • Choose the number of images you want to show up in the rows with the toggle bar (it will say “choose the number of thumbnails per row”)

  • Make sure lightbox theme is set to “light overlay”

  • Click apply in lower right

  • Click save in upper left of gray menu bar across top

  • You are done! Click diagonal arrow in upper left of site preview to preview the page
